Knit a Victorian Housecat

a two hour 2 class series - second class meets the following week at the same time.

Level: Intermediate

Instructor: Sara Elizabeth Kellner

Learn the techniques needed to knit one of the cats from Sara's new book - Victorian Housecats to Knit. The specific cat for this class will be Master Timmy's Tuxedo

Required skills: Students should be comfortable knitting in the round. Although it is advisable to be comfortable with the other techniques used on this pattern (as well as other cats in the book), they will be discussed and taught in the class.
- picking up stitches
- wrap & turn short rows
- intarsia

Required materials:

Berroco Vintage Chunky yarn - 170 yards total (color A 140 yds; color B 30 yds) 

Size 5 straight needles

Size 5 double pointed needles

Darning needle (to weave in loose ends)

Please arrive 30 minutes early to select your yarn and have it wound.

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION
1. If you would prefer to sign-up over the phone, call HCW at 707-7396 with credit card information to secure a spot.

2. There is a $2 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge. Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.

3.Classes may be canceled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students) - if we cancel a class you will be notified the week before by phone & will be given a full refund.
