Knit 101 - Learn to Knit for the Beginner

a two hour 2 class series - second class meets the following week at the same time.

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit? Or perhaps it's something you have forgotten and you need a refresher course. Then this is the class for you!  .

The class will be knitting a set of four coasters with a couple of different stitch patterns and one with stripes! These coasters are a great way to learn the basics of knitting and are a satisfying project because they are very  quick to complete. Perfect for gift giving also.

Skills include learning the longtail cast on, knit and purl stitches, binding off and weaving in ends.

Materials:

Blue Sky Fibres Cotton Worsted - 2 skeins of solid colors (we recommend not  selecting a dark color so you can easily see your stitches)

US  8 needles, students are encouraged to get circular needles of 24" length

If you need any help picking materials you can come 30 minutes before class.

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION

2.  A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without a penalty.  Cancellations made within 5 days of a class will not be refunded.    In the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students), we will cancel the class and you will be notified and given a full refund.
