Class: Introduction to Weaving with Sophia

Begin your Weaving Journey on a Rigid Heddle loom! 

Have you wanted to explore the world of weaving but did not know where to begin?  This class will teach you to warp a rigid heddle loom and get you started on your weaving path! 

This is a 2-part class, the second class meets a week after the first class session. ( Each session is 2.5 hours long)

Level: All Levels - no experience needed!   There is a physical requirement to the class.  You will be on your feet and walking to make the warp.  The weaving process involves shoulder and arm movements.

This is a perfect class for fiber fanatics! The rigid heddle loom we use is very portable and extremely easy to set up.  This class will teach you to warp a rigid heddle loom and the basics of good weaving technique. 

Learning to weave cloth is a magical thing (plus it’s incredibly FAST!!!!)

Come back the next week and get tips and tricks on taking your piece off the loom, fringe or finishing.

Come in 15-20 minutes early to pick out your yarn.  You will receive a 10% discount on this, or any other yarn purchased that day.

IMPORTANT: As part of this class, you may borrow a rigid heddle loom (instructors choice of model) for 1 week.  If you wish to bring your own rigid heddle loom, Instructor approval is required. 

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION

2. There is a $2 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge.Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.

3.Classes may be cancelled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students) - if we cancel a class you will be notified the week before by phone & will be given a full refund.
