Class: Introduction to Weaving
Begin your Weaving Journey on a Rigid Heddle loom!

Have you wanted to explore the world of weaving but did not know where to begin? This class will teach you to warp a rigid heddle loom and get you started on your weaving path!
This is a 2-part class, the second class meets a week after the first class session.
Level: All Levels - no experience needed!

This is a perfect class for fiber fanatics! The rigid heddle loom we use is very portable and extremely easy to set up. This class will teach you to warp a rigid heddle loom and the basics of good weaving technique. We will discuss yarn choices for the types of projects you want to pursue. There are ways to incorporate all kinds of knitting yarn in your weaving adventures, from scraps and random single skeins to all that sock yarn you haven't used yet.
Learning to weave cloth is a magical thing (plus it’s incredibly FAST!!!!)
Come back the next week and get tips and tricks on taking your piece off the loom, fringe or finishing and help warping your next project.
For the class you will purchase four skeins from the Berroco Vintage line, that will allow you to do two projects. We will show you samples to help you choose. Please come 15-30 minutes early to purchase your yarn and have it wound for your in-class project. You will receive a 10% discount on this, or any other yarn purchased that day.
IMPORTANT: As part of this class, you may borrow a rigid heddle loom (instructors choice of model) for 2 (two) weeks. If you wish to bring your own rigid heddle loom, Instructor approval is required.
CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION
1. If you would prefer to sign-up over the phone, call HCW at 707-7396 with credit card information to secure a spot.
2. There is a $2 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge.Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.
3.Classes may be cancelled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students) - if we cancel a class you will be notified the week before by phone & will be given a full refund.
