Smoke and Embers
The inspiration for this scarf came during a long walk on the beaches of South Padre Island, Texas. Families had gathered for the day and were enjoying the warm Gulf waters and grilling their afternoon meal. The pale smoke from the grills wafted delicately through the humid air, while the hot coals glowed fiery red beneath.
Yarn Carnivalâs High Wire 3-ply in Color âPyroclasticâ provided just the right pop of red amidst a gray ground, and the Shibui Silk Cloud was a perfect stand-in for smoke. I wrapped the tassels in a matching bright red for a little extra fun!
