Slipped stitch Colorwork is a simple way to add fascinating texture and patterns to your knitting while only working with one strand at a time. Find your rhythm with this enchanting technique that incorporates simple knits, purls and slips to create a complex textured fabrics. Students will learn the basic skills needed to read and execute slipped stitch colorwork patterns.

Bossa Nova is a triangle shawl featuring a harmonic stripe rhythm in four colors using a simple slipped stitch colorwork technique that’s easy to memorize and follow. The slip sequence is constant throughout, but the stripe width follows a rotating pattern that gives balanced movement to the piece.

You will want your yarn wound and needles ready to cast on during class.

Supplies needed:
A copy of the Bossa Nova pattern (included in kits from HCW)
Yarn​​ 5 skeins of Barker Wool Merinolux Aran. Approx 900 yards,
         4 colors (with 2 skeins of the prominent color)
We have kits available
US size 10 (6.0 mm) needles.
