Virtual Class: An Exploration of Fiber, Color & Texture with Romi Hill
This is a one time special zoom class, Saturday, December 4th, 2pm CT
Join Romi Hill in an exploration of fiber, color, and fabric texture, as we work through a miniature version of her new design in A Verb for Keeping Warm yarn, debuting at Hill Country Weavers! Worked in two different Verb yarns, Floating (alpaca/cashmere/silk) and Frond (baby mohair/silk), this diamond-shaped wrap is deliciously soft and decadent with sections worked in both yarns, as well as the two held together in a central lace panel. When worn, the three textures and colors blend in beautiful layered synergy.
Class techniques will include lace charts, working with mohair, and short rows.
Materials required: one set US 5 needles, stitch markers, about 30 yards each of mohair and other fingering weight yarn.
