Crochet a Sampler Shawl: Hotel of Bees Shawl

Instructor: Ana Clerc
The beautiful and unusual Hotel of Bees Shawl by Christina Hadderingh is one of the hottest crochet shawls on Ravelry.  It's worn asymmetrically, worked sideways, and inspired by the novel All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Using Filet Crochet, post and puff stitches, this shawl has enough variety to tempt even the most experienced crocheter, while remaining accessible to the adventurous beginner.  Hotel of Bees is a wonderful example of using multiple textures and stitches together in the same piece while maintaining a unified look.

What you will learn: Filet crochet and how to read filet crochet charts, puff stitches, front post crochet stitch textures, simple decreasing.

What you need to know: Chain, double crochet, treble crochet
