Class: Beyond Basic Brioche with Donita Sparks

This is a 2-part class, the second class meets a week after the first class session.

Level: Intermediate (A basic knowledge of brioche knitting and purling is required.)

Take your brioche skills and kick it up a notch with increases and decreases!

The Donita Sparks shawl is a symmetrical triangle-shaped shawl knit from the top down, with an all-over diamond and ladder pattern, knit using the two-color brioche stitch.

Grab 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn for this delightfully repetitive and addicting shawl!

Materials:

A copy of the Donita Sparks pattern by Lesley-Anne Robinson

2 skeins of different color fingering weight yarn (approximately 400 yards each)

Choose colors with high contrast for best results

Size US 4 (3.5mm) 40" length needles

Cable needle (or locking stitch marker)

At least 1 stitch marker to denote center stitch (up to 14 additional markers if desired)

If you have a different pattern that you would prefer to cast on, or a project you began and got stuck with, please bring it and the materials required for that pattern instead.

Due to COVID-19 we are requiring proof of Vaccination upon coming to class.

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION
1. If you would prefer to sign-up over the phone, call HCW at 707-7396 with credit card information to secure a spot.

2. There is a $2 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge.Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.

3.Classes may be cancelled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students) - if we cancel a class you will be notified the week before by phone & will be given a full refund.
