While we will still be limiting the number of customers in the shop at a time, we are no longer asking you to sign up for a shopping appointment.
We will have a maximum of 10 people in the shop at a time including staff. If you arrive while the store is full, we can let you in as soon as someone leaves. If the front door is locked, we are currently at capacity.
We are asking customers to please observe the following restrictions to help provide as safe an environment as possible to both customers and staff:
With the recent surge in COVID cases here in Austin, we have made the difficult decision to go back to online & curbside shopping only beginning on Monday, July 13th.
If you have already made a shopping appointment for next week, we will still honor those appointments, but will not be accepting any additional ones for any dates after Sunday, July 12th.
It is our hope that we will be able to once again welcome you all back to the shop in the near future, but we feel it's important to prioritize the safety of our customers, staff, & local community right now. As soon as we are open again for shopping appointments, we will announce it in our newsletter and on Instagram and Facebook.
In the meantime, we are filling and shipping web and phone orders and would be happy to help you pick yarn or troubleshoot projects.
Your continued support and patronage at this time is hugely important for us – we want to be sure we are still able to be your LYS going forward and every order means the world to us and our staff. If there is anything you need in the coming weeks we hope you will think of us and get in touch if you have any questions.

Beginning on June 6th, we will be open to a limited number of customers for shopping by appointment.

We have decided not to open our shop to foot-traffic May 1st.
We want to be sure that we are providing the safest possible environment to both our customers and staff when we do re-open our storefront. We will be taking some time to ensure that we are able to accomplish this when we do welcome you back to the shop.
We will be continuing our Curbside and Delivery services in the meantime - if you want to pick from several yarns in person we are happy to bring choices out onto the porch for you to decide from.

With the new restrictions from the Mayor of Austin just released, we will be closing our physical store until the Stay at Home order is lifted. If you have requested any orders for pickup and were unable to get by the shop, you can email us and we will mail your order to you instead.
We will still be shipping and fulfilling online orders, monitoring emails and phone calls. As much as possible we will still be trying to ship orders within 2 business days, but please bear with us as we adapt to the changing situation.

Ultimately, we feel it’s most important to be extra cautious right now, and put the health and safety of the people that make up our community first. With the latest policies being set in Austin and throughout the US we have decided to implement the following changes to our shop schedule and policies to try and protect our customers and staff, while still being able to support all of you and keep the comfort of knitting, weaving, spinning and crochet as much as possible in your lives.
Our ongoing classes and free knit-crochet-spin-weave ins will be cancelled until further notice, and any specialty classes will be postponed.
We will be offering a free online knitting Q&A session each week where you can login to get help with patterns or troubleshoot your work starting next week. As soon as a date and time are scheduled, we will allow you to sign-up to attend so please keep an eye on our social media for more information. If you need assistance sooner, please feel free to email us your questions and we will do our best to help you get over any project hurdles!
We are also working to begin offering online specialty classes and we hope to have sessions available soon.
We have made the decision not to offer any summer camps in May or June this year. We have decided to wait to make a decision on offering any July or August camps until we have guidance from the City of Austin or CDC about those time periods. If you wish to be notified should any camps go ahead, please email us and we can put you on a contact list.
As before, we are still accepting orders online through our website and over the phone. If you need to pick something up, we are happy to deliver it to your car. Just call us when you arrive, and we can run it out to you. We have also lowered our free-shipping for any orders on our website and can offer limited free local delivery. If you are in Austin and would like your order delivered, please contact us to find out if this is available in your area.
In this time of crisis for our local and global community, we want to encourage everyone to look at ways they can support any small businesses in their area. Many are in dire trouble and risk the possibility of not being able to re-open when all this is over. If you are able, we encourage you to take advantage of any offers from your LYS, restaurants and other beloved retail establishments near you – if you can shop online or over the phone or even purchase a gift card to spend later it can help all of us stay afloat.
