Level: All Levels - no experience needed!
Instructor: Kennedy Bery
Do you need help getting your loom warped so you can start to weave? Are you a beginner weaver looking for tips and tricks? Have you woven before but need a refresher to get set-up again? This zoom class will show you the basics from warping to beginning to weave on your rigid heddle loom.
We'll talk about tips and tricks to make warping easier, discuss common mistakes, how to make color changing easier for patterns like houndstooth and cover how to calculate yardage and sett for your project.
This is a one-time zoom class lasting approximately 2 hours.
This is a virtual class. If you would like to warp along with the instructor you will need a rigid heddle loom and yarn in an appropriate size for the heddle you have (if you are new to weaving, most rigid heddle looms come with an 8-dent heddle and you would want 250-400 yards of a worsted weight yarn such as Manos Maxima, Juniper Moon Cumulus, or Blue Sky Woolstok for a first scarf project)
