Knit 101 - Learn to Knit for the Beginner

Level: Absolute Beginner

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit? Or perhaps it's something you have forgotten and you need a refresher course. Then this is the class for you!

We will be knitting a set of four coasters with a couple of different stitch patterns. These coasters are a great way to learn the basics of knitting and are a satisfying project because they are quick to complete.

Skills include learning the longtail cast on, knit and purl stitches, binding off and weaving in ends.

Materials:

Blue Sky Fibres Cotton Worsted - 1 -2 skeins (we recommend selecting a lighter color so you can easily see your stitches)

US 7 or 8 needles, students are encouraged to get circular needles of 24" length

If you need any help picking materials you can come 30 minutes before class.

Due to COVID-19 we are requiring proof of Vaccination upon coming to class.

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION
1. If you would prefer to sign-up over the phone, call HCW at 707-7396 with credit card information to secure a spot.

2. There is a $2 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge. Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.

3.Classes may be canceled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than 3 students) - if we cancel a class you will be notified the week before by phone & will be given a full refund.
