Shibui Twig

It appears that Spring has arrived in Central Texas. The red bud trees are red, the mountain laurels smell like grape Kool-Aid, and the bluebonnets are appearing on the verges.

While it’s not quite time to stow the wool garments for the year, it is time to think about Spring knitting. If you’re imagining something breezy that will transition from Spring into Summer, think about Twig from Shibui Knits. Twig is a brand new DK yarn that combines flax, silk and wool. Garments knitted from Twig will drape almost effortlessly, but will still have shape and definition.

If you want to try this new yarn, check out these two free patterns.
Mia is an A-line top with a graceful neckline and enough seed stitches to make it fun to knit. Or considerTier. You can wear this long fluid scarf as a colorful accessory or a neutral counterpoint all year. Tier is free with purchase of Twig
